When Reinhard Selking started working for International Harvester in 1940, he never dreamed the International name would stay with his family for over 70 years.  Reiney performed set-up and delivery of farm equipment for the dealership, then located on 2nd Street in downtown Decatur.  In 1950, the business moved to 13th Street in Decatur, and during this time period, Reiney worked as a mechanic and parts salesman, advancing to parts manager and eventually to a sales position.

February of 1965, Reiney bought out the shareholders and Decatur Truck and Tractor became a family owned and operated business.  Then in January 1998, Decatur Truck and Tractor purchased Lehman International, a Navistar dealership in Muncie, IN, and Selking International was formed.  The same year Selking International officially began, the organization became a full lease and rental operation.

June 2005, the purchase of Great Lakes International’s Fort Wayne location on Goshen Road took place. 

2009 was an exciting year for the entire Selking Organization, with the purchase of 2 more dealerships in Indiana!  January 2nd, 2009 was the purchase of the Richmond, IN dealership.  August 1, 2009 was the purchase of the South Bend, IN dealership.

Selking International opened a dealership in Elkhart, IN on October 3, 2011, making a total of 6 dealerships throughout Northeast Indiana.

Between all six dealerships, we offer truck sales, parts, service, lease & rental, mobile maintenance and a body and paint shop.  Selking International & Idealease has grown, evolved and specialized to provide our customers with outstanding customer service to meet their truck and equipment needs.  Committed to keep pace with the rapid changes taking place in the industry while providing our customers the outstanding service they have come to expect.

Today, all four of Reiney’s sons are involved in the ownership and day to day operation of the business.   Jerry Selking is the General Manager of the Muncie dealership. Jim Selking is the General Manager of the Decatur dealership.  John Selking is the New Truck Sales Manager and Joe Selking is the General Manager at the Fort Wayne dealership.  Reiney’s son-in-law as well as five grandchildren are also employed in the Selking organization.
